Many people on opposing sides really thought that Obama would be sympathetic to the Palestinian issue.
I believe a, nah-nah-nah nah-nah-naah, is in order for those people.
BBC reports today that Israeli forces have split Gaza in two “Supported by a naval, air and land bombardment, forces have taken up positions on either side of Gaza City”
Of course this would never have happened if Bush had one more year in office, because Bush has already used up all his get out of jail free cards.
Obama on the other hand is playing with a fresh deck, so you can expect he can and will get away with unspeakable things Bush wouldn’t dare try.
What do you think would happen if Bush had increased troops to Afghanistan and Iraq, or even sent support to Israel?
Bush could never get away with that but the Prince of Darkness Obama can.
Palestinians were safe until Obama came along. Israel did not dare attack them because they knew that no support would be cumming from the west.
“17 people were killed and 130 injured when Israeli shells fell near a school and the main market in Gaza”
“32 missiles were fired into Israel. Three people were lightly injured”
With that kind of one sided body count it seems like you are more likely to be hit by a kid with a rock than a Palestinian rocket.
Are we supposed to believed that Israel is really acting out of fear?
Please don’t get the wrong idea. I don’t support either side in this silly war, because although this may not be the dumbest war in history, it still ranks among the dumbest.
Both sides are essentially claiming that god told them the land belongs to them. Hence there can be no compromise. EVER!
If it wasn’t for the body count this would be sad and funny at the same time
500 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have now been killed since the Israelis began their assault on Gaza eight days ago. A further 2,500 have been wounded.
Instead it’s just sad, and did I mention stupid?

Well maybe I didn’t tell it on this blog, but I did tell people. Now bow before Obama, The Prince of Darkness. “He is lighter than I am so I can get away with that” Feel free to quote me on that title though.
Yes, I told everyone that Obama would be president, even before he was ever nominated.
There was never a chance that anyone else would be the next president.
That said, I don’t like the guy one bit, and not just because he is related to Bush.
It was way too easy, too perfect. And that made it easy to predict.
Why on earth would the establishment sit back and allow control to be taken away from them at such a crucial time? And by some unknown minority guy?
How did I know he would win? It was the only way to cover up the mess they made in the past few years and give Bush and his pals an “avoid jail completely” card.
Plus every time Obama made a mistake you could be sure his “opposition” was about to commit some enormous screw-up beyond comprehension.
Hillary ducking bullets? Really?
Sarah Palin for Vice Prez? Are you kidding me?
They are really pushing the stretchy limits of public gullibility since 9-11 aren’t they.
Now for all you local and foreign minions of Lord Obama out there, If you are proud just because someone with the same skin color as you wins an election, you are either a child or an idiot.
Panday, Manning, Obama, Trinidadians at least should know better.
When will you learn your lesson?
For the rest of you who were genuinely duped by this puppet, I am sorry, but Obama is not going to call the troops home. If there was any danger of that happening he would not have been allowed to win.
Besides, if he changes strategy this late in the game it will only result in China taking over as head of the new world order. (hey its their catch phrase not mine)

Now this is quite interesting.
Investigations are showing, according to Police Commissioner Trevor Paul, that the explosion in Port of Spain on Wednesday night was in connection with a “domestic row”. How bizare? Terrorism in response to a domestic dispute?
How much more strangeness can this bombing trend bear before we have to call in Scully and Mulder?
Commissioner Trevor Paul said an arrest will be made soon and “I don’t think that it is something that is the beginning of some trend, I don’t think so at all,”. No, Mr. Paul, I expect its in the middle of the trend.
National Security Minister Martin Joseph said “So far the investigations are saying to us that it is a domestic row so I am asking members of the public not to panic. There isn’t cause to be overly concerned. We have the investigations well in hand and we should be arresting someone soon in treating with that domestic situation.”
“We are almost at the end of our investigations and there is no need for the public to be panicking. People can go about their business as usual in the city.”
For God’s sake “Mart-in, you so cray-zy”, dont deport the suspect this time please!!
Meanwhile the only victim Shorn Roberts, says he knows nothing about this “domestic matter”, though police are saying that he and another female present were the intended targets. Reqaurding the police claims Roberts says “This is the first time a thing like this happen in my whole entire life. I can’t say how the police come to that conclusion.”
Neither can I Roberts, but this is Trinidad, land of the strange, calypso and steel band, and occasional terrorism.

Another bombing happened in Port of Spain, Trinidad on the night of April 2nd 2008 at 10.15 p.m. One bystander was injured. But first some back story for the inquisitive and the clueless.
Vatang Agrunov (who uses the aliases Bhatang Agranouve and Dahtang Mik Agarunov was arrested after the bombings in Port of Spain in 2005. Trinidad authorities apprehended the Israeli national with a visa extension stamp and what appeared to be bomb related equipment, living in a shack in Arouca.
Authorities suspected that he was involved in the July 11, August 10, September 10, and November 3 bombings in Port of Spain, though it is claimed he entered Trinidad on October 18.
Israelis are not required to have a visa to enter Trinidad but they are required to have one to enter Venezuela. An extended Trinidad visa would permit easy entry into Venezuela from Trinidad.
The Trinidad police believed Agrunov was going to falsify his passport to remain in the country illegally. Caribbean authorities have intelligence that Agrunov is a terrorist. The Israeli embassy in Caracas intervened in the arrest of the suspected terrorist as did, suspiciously, the FBI. Agrunov was deported from Trinidad to Israel on November 15 after the Israeli Consulate in Port of Spain paid his bail which was reported to be only $TT 2,500.
Agrunov played dumb, first claiming he did not steal an immigration extension stamp that could be illegally used to grant visa extensions in Trinidad.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Express, in broken English and proffering a sob story, Agrunov told police, “I just want to say I take the stamp and finish this story. I don’t want to stay in this country any longer. I want to go home. I just want to finish this and go back to my country because my family does not know what happened to me.”
Our latest bomber as described by witnesses was a man disguised as a vagrant in the yard of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He was carrying two bags, one of which he reached into and pulled the explosive device. He threw it across the wall of the church in the direction of the people at the taxi stand and then ran off. The bomb landed in a drain and caused a loud explosion. (a convenient excuse to remove the vagrants from the streets if I ever saw one)
But if you are looking for a motive we can surely find better ones than that. You should ask yourself who would gain the most from the is crime.
The express reported “The bombing occurred just hours after Prime Minister Patrick Manning delivered a televised address to the nation in which he outlined measures being undertaken to deal with crime.”
“Last night’s explosion occurred as the National Security Ministers within the Caricom begin their meeting today at the Hilton, St Ann’s, on regional crime and security. That meeting precedes the special two-day Caricom Heads of Government Conference on crime and security at the hotel that begins tomorrow.”
These events seem to closely mimic those of the September 11 attacks in New York. Too many big coincidences and unexplained actions by those involved.
Todays Express story, on the matter of the previous bombings says “The person/persons responsible for those attacks remain at large.”
I should think so. We let him go didn’t we?

This must be exactly what it would have been like to write a blog in the dark ages! We live in exciting times. Anyway here goes:
A few years ago I read a story on the internet about China’s rapid economic growth and the impact on the global economy, oil reserves, and the world food supply.
It was stated that China was boosting local food production (smart move) and intended to make huge purchases of grain from the US and other sources. Needless to say that would create a problem for tiny countries like Trinidad and Tobago who couldn’t dream of outbidding China, the world’s second largest economy, according to Reuters.
In the succeeding years I have seen administrations come and go and the price of food leap and bound its way upward with hardly anyone making mention of the impending doom we are facing. Now today we are finally hearing talk of food shortages, as if the situation has taken us completely by surprise. (Well it did if your head was up your a$$)
Of course there are still things we could do, like make trade deals with our neighbors, but we don’t have a very good reputation when it comes to that. Venezuela for one, offered to provide us with cheaper prices on oil (yes we buy oil) in exchange for gas. Did we take the deal? Check your electric bill for the 100% increase coming soon.
