Many people on opposing sides really thought that Obama would be sympathetic to the Palestinian issue.
I believe a, nah-nah-nah nah-nah-naah, is in order for those people.
BBC reports today that Israeli forces have split Gaza in two “Supported by a naval, air and land bombardment, forces have taken up positions on either side of Gaza City”
Of course this would never have happened if Bush had one more year in office, because Bush has already used up all his get out of jail free cards.
Obama on the other hand is playing with a fresh deck, so you can expect he can and will get away with unspeakable things Bush wouldn’t dare try.
What do you think would happen if Bush had increased troops to Afghanistan and Iraq, or even sent support to Israel?
Bush could never get away with that but the Prince of Darkness Obama can.
Palestinians were safe until Obama came along. Israel did not dare attack them because they knew that no support would be cumming from the west.
“17 people were killed and 130 injured when Israeli shells fell near a school and the main market in Gaza”
“32 missiles were fired into Israel. Three people were lightly injured”
With that kind of one sided body count it seems like you are more likely to be hit by a kid with a rock than a Palestinian rocket.
Are we supposed to believed that Israel is really acting out of fear?
Please don’t get the wrong idea. I don’t support either side in this silly war, because although this may not be the dumbest war in history, it still ranks among the dumbest.
Both sides are essentially claiming that god told them the land belongs to them. Hence there can be no compromise. EVER!
If it wasn’t for the body count this would be sad and funny at the same time
500 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have now been killed since the Israelis began their assault on Gaza eight days ago. A further 2,500 have been wounded.
Instead it’s just sad, and did I mention stupid?
